Best Friend Western Style Bareback Saddle Pad (Hunter Green)

This is a great bareback pad. I purchased it in Draft size for my Belgian mare. She has very high and bony withers. It fit her perfectly and does not slip.

I normally stay away from using bareback pads because I've used a couple that slid around on me too much. But this one stayed in place even when my horse was sweating. Plus it has just enough cushion to be comfortable without being too bulky, and the pockets are a nice touch.

I took this pad out on a 3 mile, steep incline, steep decline, mountainous trail, and it was AMAZING! We had an 800 foot elevation gain over 1.5 miles and this pad stayed PUT. My big girl is half Percheron, half Quarter and I am 5’8” and weigh 260lbs. This pad stayed in place under me, stayed in place with her sweating profusely, stayed in place coming down steep, snowy, icy hills. I’d buy this pad over again and again! I washed it afterwards, hung it to dry by the fire and it is as good as new! We did swap out girths because the one it came with wouldn’t fit Betty, added a breast collar, and it was seriously perfect! This is such a great product. Although I didn’t get any pictures of the pad, I did add a picture of Betty… the only dry spot was under my butt. She worked hard and that pad didn’t move at all.

I’m an avid bareback rider and this is by far the most comfortable bareback pad. It’s like sitting on a soft suede cushion. Also is compatible with any pant material including the sleek leggings I like the wear but normally make you slip off without a bare back pad! I love the pockets as well

Comfortable for horse and rider, nice padding and girth. Bottom really help reduce slipping. A bit more than I wanted to spend but we'll worth it. We'll made
